Durano Eco Farm & Spring Resort, Carmen

Durano Eco Farm Resort is basically for guests who prefer natural water flowing down from fresh springs, especially during the hottest season (March to May in the Philippines).Yes, this is the place you should rather be if you want a ‘no chlorine’ water.

There are pools with various depths each, that is, there are pools both for adults and children.As you know, free flowing spring water is very clear, clean and cool enough to refresh you especially when you visit or live in a tropical country. Danao City Magrove
Boardwalk

The Danao City Mangrove Boardwalk is located at Barangay Guinsay at about 600 meters seaward from Guinsay Barangay Hall. It is a component of Mangrove Timberland Development with an area of approximately 100 hectares. The boardwalk stretches 280 meters from entrance to northward end and crosses at the center of east to west direction that stretches approximately 600 meters to the shoreline to which a proposed cottages for tourist will be established.

Danao City Fish Port

After building a spankin’ new Civic Center and a kick-ass Jeepney Terminal, Danao City welcomed a new baby. Ladies and gentlemen, Danao City has a brand new Fish Port. Hehehe.The new Fish Port, which is called Macapagal-Durano Fish Port in located right in front of the plaza. The new fishport is really nice and clean. Also, it has ample park space for those who wish to drop by to use the clean rest rooms. By the way, remember the tinap-anan restaurants on the beach before you reach the Danao Church? Well, all restaurants have been transferred to the second floor of the new building. Isn’t that amazing?

Situated along the National Highway in Poblacion where the commercial fishing operators, operates a fish landing in this fish port daily. The smell of freshly-grilled fish will invite to stop and savor the delicious taste of "SUTUKIL" -Sugba,Tula,Kinilaw-Broiled Fish, Fish Tinola and Fish Salad by the sea.

Sto. Thomas de Villanueva Parish

Sto. Thomas de Villanueva Parish (Danao City Church) Established in 1595

The church of Danao was constructed in 1755 by Fr. Manuel de Santa Barbara, and was made up of materials from sugar cane and rocks from the sea. The crucero of the church was built in the 1800's. However, it suffered a partial destruction (was burned in 1942) during the World War II. Religious items and other important materials were also burned. From the original construction materials of the church, only the solid stones were spared from the fire. It was reconstructed in 1946. In 1981, the building underwent another renovation, this time almost a complete overhaul (only 30% of the original stands). The renovation was completed in 1985.

Very interesting about this church are the bells, which are named according to saints. The San Alipio bell, cast in 1845 and weighing 45 kilos, is the oldest. Two others, cast in 1917 were added and these were the Villanueva bell (630 kilos) and the Sagrado Corazon bell (249 kilos).
